Melina Kanakaredes plays an American actress who is best popular for her portrayal of detective Stella Bonasera in the CBS detective procedural drama CSI: NY Dr. Sydney Hansen on the NBC drama series Providence and the role of Dr. Lane Hunter on the medical drama series The Resident. Her work also garnered acclaim due to her groundbreaking television debut in the role of Eleni Andros Cooper on the CBS soap series Guiding Light.
